- A leather volume comprising the daily credit and debit accounts of Cohn Bros. in Clifton, Mississippi spanning over one year from April 1, 1878 to December 31, 1879. The account book documents the transactions of Cohn Bros. Included are entries of purchases of various dry goods and sundries. Customer names are often listed along with their purchases. Some items sold and purchased included bacon, burlap, candles, coffee, cotton, flour, fabric, freight, pork, postage stamps, seeds, sugar, thread, tobacco, and whiskey. Written on first page: Cohn Bros. Clifton, Miss. April 1st, 1878. Stamps on first page read: Cohn Bros. Clifton near Rodney, Miss. Page numbers are pre-printed 2-320. Pages 70-100 and pages 250-320 are blank.

- A general store founded in 1872 by Jewish merchants who emigrated from Herrlisheim, Alsace, now modern day France. Three brothers appear to have owned and operated the store: Lehman, Heiman, and Joseph Cohn. The original Cohn Bros. was located in Clifton, Jefferson County Mississippi. In 1875 they opened a store in Lorman, Mississippi.
