Mary of Lorraine also known as Queen Mary, Mary of Guise, Mary of Lorrain. Note affixed to back states "from an original in the possession of the Duke of Devonshire[;] this picture is much better than that of the King in the same collection and is the only authentic picture of her now in being. . . "
