- Record of a proceeding in Havana on 11 August 1758 (f. 1v) establishing the legitimacy and genealogical purity (lexitimidad y limpieza, f. 1r) of clergyman Feliz del Rey, native of Laguna on the island of Tenerife (f. 2r). Don Santiago José Hechavarría y Elguesúa, a priest who in 1769 would be confirmed as bishop of the diocese of Santiago de Cuba, was present as an advocate (f. 1r). Del Rey's bloodline is certified as old Catholic, free of Moorish, Jewish, Indian, black, mulatto, or recently-converted ancestors (f. 11v). An assertion that this copy matches the original held by the authorities is added in another hand (f. 13v). The final page of text ends with three signatures and has two stamps in black ink, one from 1745-1746, at the end of the reign of Philip V, and one from 1758-1759 (f. 14r).

Layout: Written in 19 long lines; folio format. Script: Written in cursive script, primarily by one hand (f. 1r-13v), with a few short additions and signatures at the end by other hands (f. 13v-14r). Watermark: Crowned fleur-de-lis above the word SPERANZA in the first quire (f. 5, 7, 9, 11); CB above R above anchor (f. 15). Binding: Stab-stitched gatherings. Origin: Written in Havana (f. 13v-14r), dated 11 August 1758 (f. 1v) and 12 August 1758 (f. 13r).
